Placido Polanco was scratched from the starting lineup for Game 1 of the NLDS due to a back injury.
Surprisingly, it has nothing to do with his elbow. Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said they are hopeful Polanco will be able to return to the lineup for Game 2 on Friday. Wilson Valdez is starting at third base in Game 1, while Greg Dobbs is also an option at the hot corner. Oct. 6 - 1:12 pm et
