Absolutely unreal. The guy is amazing. As a Mets fan I hate the Phils but I love Halladay. How can you not.

As dominate as I have ever seen.
No tough plays to be made........only 3-3balls counts.
And this against the BEST hitting team in MLB this year.
Not a cheap No-Hitter.

The last out had me sweating.
Unbelievable performance.
I think Stugots was at the game too, he really has been lucky lately.

Saw him pitch many times in Toronto and am very happy for him. Seems like a great guy and never once complained when he was a Jay.

Orlando Cabrera of the Reds says the ump gave Halladay a huge strike zone. Went on to say that Halladay had to much help from the plate umpire.

Not to take anything way from Halladay at all but I'd agree with what he said. It really seemed that Philly would get the calls and Reds wouldn't at all. He still did pitch a hell of a game.

maybe it was a wide strikezone but often the ump will tell the other teams what he is going to call. not only that it is a fact some umps have diff strikezones than others. either way...reds batters sure looked stupid swinging at air.

and it is up to the players to adjust. it really seemed that the same close pitches were called strikes for the phils and balls when the reds were pitching.

not only that there are umps with 23-2 home records for the home side.

Doc earned every out. Class act on top of being a great pitcher. When he left Toronto, he took out a full page ad in the Toronto Star newspaper, thanking the fans and the city for his time there.
