It's almost comical. Like you said, it was silent when it hit the wall and then he said the game was tied on the hit as the leading run crossed the plate. Then on Texaira's home run he calls it five seconds after it lands. It's like watching a game on a five second delay. Wow, just bad all around.
I guess announcing is the kind of thing that goes unnoticed until its bad.
