Detroit Man, 69, Puts Off Heart Procedure In Order To Watch MSU vs. University of Michigan Football Game On TV.
Robert Evans, Hollywood’s Director of Operations says “Mr. Hester who suffers from cardiomyopathy is a guy I truly admire. He called a timeout before doctors could install a much needed pacemaker in his chest deferring the procedure until after his favorite football team’s game because ‘he can't risk something going wrong on the operating table that would prevent him from watching the game.’

Postscript... The #17 ranked Spartans handed the UM team their first loss of the season. UM led 10-7 midway through the second quarter, before Michigan State put up 24 straight points as U-M fell for the first time in 2010, 34-17 and Mr. Hester leaped for joy, almost having a heart attack, and finally confirmed a date for the operation that doesn’t interfere with any additional Spartan football games.
