I think it will be a tough series. But this is October and Yankees always rise to the occasion. I think it is a good bet. I don't usually bet series.

2 games could go to Texas because of Cliff Lee. There are no guarantees, it's a possiblity though with his playoff success. Petitte is good in the playoffs too so Lee wont have it easy.

Texas won 4 of the last 5 in this series, all in Texas.

Yanks have Sabathia, but how is he all that different from CJ Wilson? Numbers wise they are pretty much even. Experience? sure. and that's probably the biggest reason why NYY is a big fave. Although CJ didnt do too badly in his first playoff outing. CJ Wilson has faced the Yanks 3x and Texas won 2 of those games. He will have the home crowd behind him to help take off some of the edge of being nervous.

Texas has the advantage on the basepads IMO.

I trust Hunter more than I trust AJ Burnett, who the yanks deemed not good enough to start against Minnesota.

I think Texas might be the looser team with really no expectations to win the series, even though they are confident and know they can win. The Yanks with their $300 million payroll is supposed to win this...EVERY YEAR. Not winning is a huge issue with mgmt and the press.

Why is everyone crowning the Yanks already?

Yanks Adv.... Bully / Field PCT / 2 very important factors / Texas is FEELING it ..........going 1st to 3rd /stealing basses / playing like a loose club .
Home Field = Zip advantage SO FAR ....one thing I can tell you is the Yanks wont be taking pitches like the Rays did in game 5 .......this goes either way imo ....so i will wait an take the plus money ..........and Texas Game 1 +1' runs ..........

I had to take Yankees -170 on my book. I waited too long. But even at 170, I don't think it matters because I don't see how the Rangers can win this series. Could it happen? Sure. But I'll go with Arod, Jeter, Granderson, Texiera, Cano, Posada, and on and on......

IMO - the Yanks will counter Lee with Sabathia - and probably split those games. The rest of the time they simply can outslug the Rangers.

I hate the damn Yankees, but I have bet with them in the series bet and every individual game vs. the Twins. I think it's the best bet on the table to keep doing that. I wouldn't be at all shocked if they swept the Rangers out of the playoffs.

Funny thing is - if they do that - they will have knocked out BOTH of the old Washington Senator franchises, as the Twins were the original Senators team, and the Rangers were formerly the 2nd incarnation of the Senators.

They split the season series. So why cant they win?
Texas has Hamilton, Vlad, Nelly, Andrus, Kinsler, Young, and on and on. Their lineup is no slouch and their aggression on the basepads makes up for their slight disadvantage at the plate.

Yanks have the edge in experience. They could very well be what gives them this series.

The price is so high because the public loves to bet on the Yanks....and this post above proves that point.

Normally, the road team is looking to split the first two games, but if the Yankees do that, I still like Texas' chances, despite having lost the home field: I'll take Lee against anybody right now, putting Texas up 2-1, and who awaits them in Game 4? Right now, A.J. Burnett, lol! How the fuck do you lose 15 games pitching for the Yankees?!?! In fact, he's the first guy to do that along with having a 5.00 ERA in Yankee history. Personally, although they've announced him as the Game Four starter, I don't think he pitches unless the Yankees are up 2-1 or 3-0, so that'd be Fat Boy coming back on short rest. He got away with that last year, but I don't see it happening again, and, in case anybody hadn't noticed, he wasn't exactly overpowering against the hapless Twins.

None of the people who were chirping about what a great play the Yankees were are to be found now, typical. 9 times in the last 10 years, the Yankees have left their backers with their dicks in their hands, lol.
