A South Florida man got more than he paid for after a lap dance turned into a vicious attack with a shoe, landing him a settlement of $650,000.
In 2008, Michael Ireland sure got an eyeful during a performance at gentleman’s club in West Palm Beach. In fact, he was poked in the eye by the spiked heel of a stripper after getting a little too close.
The stripper, “Suki,” was dancing at the Cheetah Club when her heel punctured Mr. Ireland’s eye socket; his attorney said the incident left Mr. Ireland with broken bones around his eyes and nose and permanent double vision.
The Cheetah Club settled out of court on Thursday to avoid going through a lengthy lawsuit and possibly paying more in damages.
“When this case was first filed, many people criticized it simply because it occurred at a strip club,” said Lake Lytal, Mr. Ireland’s attorney. “But we feel the $650,000 settlement goes to show that this was a serious case with serious injury.”
I wonder how many lap dances he could buy with $650,000.
