Was talking this morning with an older gentleman who made the comment of how he enjoyed MLB Pennant Games and The World Series when NBC had the coverage with Joe Morgan, Joe Garagiola, and Tony Kubek. Can you remember those days OMT. They did do a good job of announcing. I also meet a retired Police Officer last night who had gotten hit by a drunk driver and was now disabled. He could not walk around to the visitors side of our high school stadium but he was there just to see his son play. I bought him a coke and a slice of pizza.
very surprised to see Texas come out and jump on the Yanks early like this but that is what happens when you have a guy like Andrus who can steal 2nd 3rd and home.....erases all that bad taste from last night and sparks the ball club. Yanks really hit Lewis hard 2-3rd innings but nothing to show for it. baseball is a funny game.
Posada really helped with that first run by throwing through with two outs allowing the runner to score from third. Certainly not saying that's the difference as the Rangers had no trouble hitting Hughes, but it no doubt relieved any tension they might have been feeling from last night's loss. I agree. Baseball can be a funny game at times.
Go Giants! @)
