430 local time, is strange start time for west coast teams,

How will shadows effect the game? Will it cover home plate and not pitcher during any part of this game, is so what part?

the first 5 innings will be tough. the hitter is right in the middle of the shadows and doesnt get a good read on the ball. not till the middle/late innings when it starts to get closer to dusk when it a little darker can the hitters feel comfortable in the box.

Currently, it appears that the sun will be out and not blocked by clouds until about 7 p.m PDT. Based on yesterday's shadows at 5 p.m. PDT, expect to see shadows covering home plate out to about the pitchers mound at game time. It will be close as to whether both the mound and plate are covered in shadows when the first pitch is thrown. The shadows will continue out towards the outfield from then on leaving only the fielders in the sun.
