Any shot at an upset by Velasquez?

Shane Carwin almost pulled it off vs Lesnar several weeks ago.
Or did Lesnar simply come in too laid back, learned his lesson, and going to put it on Velasquez early on in this match?

I think Lesnar handles him with wrestling, but other people I respect are picking Cain.

Was all about Cain after the Lesnar/Carwin fight. just rewatched Cain/Stojnic and now I've cooled on Cain. Might just wait to fade the winner against JDS.

I think Cain and Lesnar would both easily beat JDS.

really? if it ends up Cain and JDS its a max play for me. I'll take the guy with the superior resume / camp.

Cain will take JDS down and beat on him. Lesnar too. JDS has excellent boxing but he doesn't have that one-punch KO power that would cause these guys problems. As soon as they get clinched, JDS is going down. The guy has never fought a wrestler and he simply doesn't have the size to stay upright when one of those beasts get their hands on him.

I'm not sure what so many of you guys see in Cain. Brock is bigger, stronger and has better wrestling skills. Brock at - 145 has to be the better value wager. Anything can happen in a MMA fight but Lesnar should take care of business in this fight.

Nearly every JDS win has been by KO/TKO including ko's of the night against werdum and gonzaga.

Two awesome submission experts with limited take downs... Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and American Wrestling aren't even close in terms of ability to get your opponent to the ground.

? You said JDS has no knockout power. He KTFO Werdum with an uppercut. something Fedor, Bigfoot, Brandon Vera, Gonzaga, Arlovski, Alex Emelianenko and fricken OVEREEM couldn't do. His power is more than legit. But whatever seems like your mind is made up, GL on your play. :toast:

Werdum was technically a TKO but might as well have been the only KO of Dos Santos' career. The same Werdum came in way overweight and it was obvious he hadn't been able to train because of an injury. Dos Santos has a nice upper cut though for sure. Leaves himself a bit open but it's one of the best in MMA. That being said, he'll struggle with timing against Cain or Brock because of the takedown threat. Werdum's takedowns have never been impressive at all. Different ball game.

PS, the Overeem that Werdum faced didn't have a ton of KO power. Now the guy puts on 50 pounds of muscle miraculously, knocks out some bums, and everyone thinks he is world class. The guy didn't have a chin and made piss poor decisions. Lots of losses on his record. I'm not sold on the "new" Overeem at all.

We will just have to wait and see.

I like Brock here... Bigger, faster, stronger, better wrestler. Anything can happen of course, but I see Brock taking Cain down and pounding on him.
