I decided at the last minute to go to Vegas this weekend with some buds. For a guy in his forties where are some spots to meet up with some women in their 30's on up? I am not looking for a cheap site but a place instead of the places like Pure, Jet and places like that. After the games this weekend this time we want to avoid the strip clubs or nightclubs for the 20 year olds. i have heard the Voodoo Lounge or Cleopatra's Barge are some places but have no idea. Been to Vegas almost 100 times but the Dr. could use some help on this one boys. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Studio 54 inside the MGM Grand isn't a bad option. It does draw some of the younger crowd, but it also draw people old enough to have heard of the original Studio 54. They like to put on airs of being an exclusive club, though, so getting inside has the potential to be more of a pain than it deserves to be.

Some of the spots at the Mandalay Bay are also worth considering. I sort of like the eyecandy lounge there and it's often a little older than "clubby" clubs.

Don't rule out Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville or Toby Keith's I Love This Bar (Flamingo and Harrah's) either. Maybe the crowd isn't quite as pretty on the whole as at the hip clubs, but it's often a nice rowdy kind of fun crowd. And by "rowdy" I mean "very drunk and loud, but usually in a good way."

Ive heard that the red casino is filled with hot cougars on the weekends, in the lounge in the middle of the casino or the lobby bars.

Dr. Vegas, I've been frequenting vegas for over 2 decades and I think you pose a great question, it's a bridge as men we all cross. It aint happenin' with the 18-25's anymore, either because they're too young and immature for us, no common ground for us to relate to (yeah right), more realistically it's because we're now viewed as that old dude trying to score young tail.

With that established and accepted what to do after a long day in the book or playing cards? What you don't want to do is settle in at one spot, i.e. a bar, club, etc. All of the clubs will be filled with 20somethings. The older women that are there are with their men, the milfs and 30's are burned out on the club scene, so you're wasting time at clubs. When you're home in your local town, that's what you do, look for the "hot spot". When in Vegas, you don't want to limit your odds to the drunkards in one bar, battling for the same piece of tail that every other hawk in the bar is on. The action is on the streets, flowing in and out of the casinos.

Here's a suggestion. Right outside the Piano Bar at Harrah's is the Carnavale Bar. Ladies start drinking there at 1pm. Party is going on until 3am. There is a nice, friendly walk to be had from the Carnavale Bar down to the corner of Buffalo Bill's. THERE ARE ALWAYS women, nothing but women walking to and fro. After 10pm, the only difference is the heels are on and the women are drunk. On your walk you can head over to Caesars and check out the skirts and hangers on over at Pure. Lot's of girls end up seeing the line and look to make other plans.

If you have no luck scoring on your walk, not to worry at all..... Drai's after hours at Buffalo Bill's starts around 4 am, and it is ALWAYS a party in there. Nice ladies, grown-ups in the house, party just keeps on goin.......

Good luck
