They've been playing playoff level baseball since the start of September and just carried that style of play into the post season. Good deep pitching and timely hitting from different players on any given night. They are the true definition of a 25 man "team".

Great exciting MLB Game last night OMT. Really was fun to watch. I don't know if being a Giants Fan is torture or not but to me wearing one of those damn Panda things on my head for three hours would be. Congrats on being a loyal fan. On a side note, Fox caught a shot of Will Clark in the stands for yesterdays contest. When I was twelve years old, the coaches and district officals took our Little League Team to Atlanta for the yearly field trip and the Braves were playing the Giants. Will Clark hit a Homerun very late in the game to give the Giants the lead and the eventual win. I always respected Clark, but a little bit of childhood memories remembers him ruining the field trip for us HA HA. And yes Atlanta was struggling to scores runs back in those too.

Yes it was! Out here, we refer to it as torture as the Giants have continued to win all these tight games through the regular season stretch drive and on into the playoffs. But we love it! I saw Will Clark last night as well and remember the thrill hitting .650 in the post season, I believe, but not certain, against Atlanta going 13-20. Sweet swing! Called him the Natural.

Hey OMT,...any thoughts for tonights game?

As you know, I don't post Giants games but rather sit back and enjoy them. Let's just say, the wrong team is favored tonight! Best of luck whatever you decide! :toast:

Interesting haha. That is totally understandable since the Phillies offense is in total disarray. I was leaning under 6 for the game and Phillies team total under 3 for the game. Too much pressure on the phils tonight and that will lead to alot of throwing bats on the ground, throwing helmets in the dugout, etc...

The Giants have beaten Halladay twice already this season. The last one in Philadelphia. Tonight he pitches at AT&T Park. The Giants are primed for the close out and with Lincecum on the mound with 5 days of rest, they will be very hard to beat. They know what is in front of them and taking nothing for granted. They are totally focused and playing winning baseball.

Be careful with that total. The Giants can get to Halladay IMHO and the bullpen is fully burned from last night. Remember, the first match-up between these two pitchers in Game 1 ended up 4-3 Giants. Lincecum should be better tonight, but not so sure about Halladay and the bullpen of the Phillies.

Hey OMT,Would you look better in a Panda Hat or A Brian Wilson Beard For Halloween? Maybe a Bearded Panda? Those people in the crowd with those panda things on their head just crack me up. Somebody will come up with a Bearded Panda costume before it is over just wait and see. Gotta love the spunk of the Giants fans.

I think a beard. I've had a mustache since 1970 and never shaved it off. So growing a beard would probably suit me. The "Fear The Beards" started when closer Brian Wilson turned his mustache and chin hair into a full grown beard during the September drive. He dies it black and is quite a character. The fans jumped on it. As for the Panda hats, it all started last year when Pablo Sandoval was having such a good year, the fans fell in love with the big guy, calling him the Panda and the hats and even body suits started showing up at the ballpark. I think I saw a few bearded pandas in the seats last night. This City is sky high over this team. I can wait for the first pitch tonight myself!
