Calif, is broke. If Prop 19 passes it will be a cash cow, between the tax on it and the BOOM they will see in tourism.

we do set the trends out here on the WEST COAST..prop 215 passed over 13 years ago allowing medicinal marijuana users to enjoy their medicine..I was totally against Prop 19..why would the "medicinal user" give a rats if the "recreational user" has any rights?? We must DECRIMINALIZE before we legalize..peace!

It looks like the federal govt is NOT going to allow California to collect taxes on weed. Also the excitement over passing this law is diminishing. I doubt very much if it passes. California is definitely the nutso state of the union.

Cities and counties in CA have been collecting business taxes from state-legal marijuana sales for over a decade. The federal govt has no jurisdiction to otherwise impede such collections

Needs to be legalized and taxed everywhere. People are gonna buy weed no matter if it's legal or not. Why not make some money off of it while also freeing up jail space for actual criminals. Billions of dollars missed out on year after year by our shitty ass government. Yet they continue to spend money trying to 'fight' it.

It's already legal there if all you have to do is pay some pseudo-doctor to prescribe for anything from sunburn to back pain.

I believe they DO have the power if the activity is considered criminal.

Guess they better start whuppin' up on the hundreds of cities and counties that have been raking tax dollars from state-legal marijuana sales since the late 1990s
