Before you had to have a netflex DVD on the PS3 in order to stream. This week this released a small download that lets you use Netflix directly. This is amazing.

I am watching Loui the show and it looks great and there is no lag at all. Amazing.

If you have a PS3 download this now.

I agree with you that's why I mostly never use it. Just try it on. The shows look at least tv quality and that ain't bad.

Rob, did you just try it out? Yeah, the quality is very good.

Definitely not 1080p of course but not bad. If it's a movie I really want to see I'd rather rent the Bluray but it's fine for shows that's I'd never pay to rent.

I did the same. Quality is good. Netflix movies have one drawback, there are very few good titles, and no new titles. You can do a little better getting them via the mail as opposed to online.

That being said, I have not been to a movie theater in 10+ years and I do not get HBO, Showtime etc. so I am getting to watch some of the old titles I never saw back in the day.

I think netflix offers an incredible service for what they charge, i pay $8 bucks a month and get 1 dvd at a time through the mail (which ends up being about 8 a month) and unlimited streaming over the web. Its true they dont have all the best new titles available for streaming but they still have thousands of great movies, tv series, documentaries, asian horror and concerts available for streaming and what i cant stream i juat get in the mail. If you want blue ray its just a $2 upcharge for the whole month. I think its a great alternative to cable.( you also get the starz channel for free through netflix

You need a netflex subscription of course.

Get the latest update on your PS3 and then go to the Video section and you should see a Netflix icon. You go there and download the app and then you can surf Netflix via your PS3 and watch whatever's there.
