Try expedia.com and pick from there.

I would suggest you NOT stay at the Stratosphere though. The place is a dump and if you get a cheap price they'll put you in the cheap tower.

The problem I am running into is that I've waited too late to get a good deal. All the prices have gone up and will continue to climb until I get there.

Strat blows and isn't even really the strip...kind of noman's land. Same for Circus-Circus

For low-budget strip... if room quality is low on your list....

Imperial Palace for mid strip

Excalibur for South strip ( Trop and LVB corner).

A nice deal can often be found at better places like MGM. Avoid RIO and Palms ( nice places) if you want to be on the strip.

I suggest Excalibur ( only about 20 years old) for cheap strip rates.

I stayed at the Chinese place I forget the name. The cheapest on the strip by far. You definitely got what you paid for, it sucked! no flat screen, TV was 19 inch, tiny room, dirty bathroom ect.........

This isn't complicated. The guy wants a cheap Strip hotel. The X and IP fit the bill.

In order from worst to best...all rooms are relatively cheap

Imperial Palace
Excalibur
Tropicana (newly remodeled)
Monte Carlo
NYNY

If you want really, really cheap try Bill's Gambling Hall or Casino Royale.

sounds more like a motel than a hotel ?

I can't think of a Chinese hotel.

Bill's Gambling Hall has never been cheap cheap ! This place is quite nice as it was where I always stayed when it was the Barbary Coast. It is now owned by Harrah's. Best location in Town but since Harrah's took over, the return rates on their video poker etc has gone down like all the other Harrah's properties. I haven't seen a 100 % payback video poker machine in any of their Casinos. If anyone hears of one... Let me know !

I always thought the rooms could be had for like $20 a night. I have heard bad stories about the place and the motel out back looks extremely cheap though. Cannot beat the location or the gambling though...would be an option for a budget-minded gambler for sure. BTW...Harrah's doesn't have any 100% video poker...I think the closest they offer is some 9/6 JoB and it is only at the 5$ level and up.

You must have Bills confused with another property. Motel out back?? Not sure what you are talking about. There is none.

As mentioned previously, the hotel rooms at Bills are surprisingly very nice. Not Bellagio nice. But nice.

They can usually be had for about $50 during the week.

Out back was a bad way to put it I guess...When crossing over the bridge from Caesars you can see the windows/balcony from the hotel rooms...IMO they sort of are in the back in relation to the strip. I was completely unaware this was a decent place though - I had just been going off what I heard

Why not consider staying downtown? There is a bus (the deuce) that has cheap 24 hour rates and goes back and forth along the strip all day and places like the fitzgeralds that you can stay all 3 days for about $120 bucks total and the eats are cheap in that area as well. If you need to be on the strip the excalibur really is the nicest place with the best location FOR a cheap rate. The excalibur also has a daily buffet rate (pay $25 dollars once and you can eat for the whole day which in my opinion can't be beat) Also do a google search for las vegas hotel promo codes and mindblowing deals can be had there as well, I find that using the promo codes in conjunction with going through the hotels own website will actually get you a cheaper rate with more benefits than going through sites like expedia and most hotels only make you pay a deposit for the first night and the rest when you leave so if you are a little short of cash today you dont have to worry about it until you leave vegas or if you have to cancel they will give you your deposit back as long as you let them know 48 hours ahead of time as opposed to expedia where you have to pay all up front and if you cancel you are s.o.l. I go 3-4 times a year and i live in florida so im always trying to find the best deals too...Hope this helps and have fun.

Go to harrahs.com and try the Imperial Palace; you won't find much cheaper and, even though you won't get much of a view, the rooms are superb.
