What is everyone thinking?

I live in SF and am a bit biased.

With 2 games left in regular season I turned to a friend because I had one of those "funny" feelings, and said I thought that SF was gonna win the whole thing this year. Just felt it.

Got them +200 on NLCS. Now it is WS time and I feel like I have to put my money where my mouth is, but want to know what you guys think first.

How in god's name is SF gonna hit Lee?

Do I take SF series and then bet TEX game 1?

lol

Game 1: Texas

Game 2: San Francisco

Game 3: San Francisco

Game 4: San Francisco

Game 5: Texas

Game 6: San Francisco

San Francisco in 6 games

Texas only wins the games Lee pitches. The other pitching matchups heavily favor San Francisco.

Lots of unders in this series.

Cain is under .500, lifetime, in five plus years as a starting pitcher so what makes him a cinch to win vs. offensively gifted Texas. I think the Giants need to be more worried about Sanchez imploding again like he did in Philadelphia. He does not possess consistent command of the strike zone and Texas will be patient waiting for him to throw strikes. Texas has been great on the road so far in the playoffs and the Giants have no one to compare to Hamilton offensively. Who in their lineup would Texas have to intentionally walk? And as good a closer as Wilson has been this year Perez was even better ... even if he was pitching with bigger leads. Wilson got a very fortunate double play on a smash that could have put Philly ahead. Often, he is an adventure as a closer.

Although my mind says there's money to be made betting series, especially baseball, experience has shown otherwise. It's simply too hard to tell when you reach this level...both teams, after a 162 reg season and 2 playoff series, are likely the top 3-4 teams in the game (not always), which means 7 games can very likely lean on 10 plays...not the kind of odds I like laying dencent money on.

I believe momentum is one of the most over-used terms in sports, but, oddly enough, I think it applies to 7 games series' in baseball more than any other sport.

If SF is able to beat Lee in game 1 (or even make him appear human), look out. SF could easily win 3 of the next 6.
