73-year-old Hydro, OK. man lands in jail after springing his prized pooch from the town kennel rather than paying a $100 fine.
The poodle had allegedly been causing trouble with the neighbors, and had one previous visit to the pound. Fry says was fearful that the appropriately named poodle “Buddy Tough” would be killed.
Robert Evans, Hollywood’s Director of Operations says “This is the ultimate man’s best friend feel good story, except our hero winds up in jail and his best friend dies while he’s sitting behind bars for busting him out. But other than that, it is a ‘true to life’ human/canine love story.”
Evans continues… “Not only did he successfully bust out the wayward woofer, but Mr. Fry lived up to his local crusty image when after he was captured by an alert Hydro policeman who spotted the escapees moving though the city streets in the slow moving getaway vehicle, warned the police to stay away from his dog unless they wanted to “face his shotgun”.
For his gamble of busting out the dog, Fry spent several days in jail, and now faces a municipal charge of allowing an animal to run at-large and breaking and entering. As for Buddy Tough, he was euthanized while Fry was in jail without his loving owner allowed to say good-bye to his trusty companion but concludes this sad story with these thoughts…
“He’s flying with the angels, and I know I’ll see him again.”
“Now that’s a man who firmly believes in a heavenly hereafter for man and beast alike,” concludes Evans.
For being chosen as our “Gambler of the Week,” Hollywood is awarding Mr. Fry a $500 wagering account which we hope Mr. Fry can run up to thousands in order to pay some legal fees and fines and maybe even try to replace the coveted “Buddy Tough” with a replacement states Ms. Nicki Smith, Hollywood’s Public Relations manager.
Additionally Hollywood has a special promotion in honor of Mr. Fry. Sign up and make a deposit at their site, and they will give you an extra 20% cash bonus using promo code GOW20.
