I don't own a pitt, I've had 2 rotts, and they're considered a dangerous breed under most guidelines. My current rott, I spent a shit load training her and she doesn't make a move without looking at me to see if it's okay. I don't buy this pits are just born bad bullshit but they are incredibly strong and if you aren't prepared to take the necessary steps to train it, and I don't mean basic obedience I mean so you have solid control over your dog, then you shouldn't own one. Too many people think because a pups cute and it grew up with the family and never shown aggression that it doesn't need advanced training cause it's not a problem dog but that's one that could likely be a problem, cause it's an animal, something sets it off, if you don't have total control to be able to shut that down your dog could hurt someone. That's on the owner, how often do you hear of a dog that's well trained going off? I'm sure it's happened anything can happen but the incidents would be far and few in between. The problem isn't the dogs, it's people who should never have these dogs that are the problem. You aren't going to train the dog, you aren't going to treat the dog well, the dogs just there to be part of your image, then you are fucking up a good dog. My dog was bit by a small little yappy dog, untrained my dog could've torn that thing in pieces but I gave one command and she backed up and laid down while that thing ran and it's owner came trying to yell at me cause my dog scared hers lol. She ended up paying my dogs vet bill after the dog park who all knew my dog came running up telling her to back off. Little dog owners are the worst, they have zero control but they think their dog cant do serious damage so they don't care and in a way they're right. I lose control my dog could hurt someone so I have to make the extra effort if I want this dog.
