$400 to win $500

It's the only bet I will place on the series. Probably a dumb bet. I live in SF though so it could be fun.

Go Giants!

Giants bettors should not take that risk. It is not unlikely that Lincicum will win tomorrow.

OMG! OMG! OMG! lee just pitched a shutout the last time out against the yanks and this is a trend in baseball i've been following. Pitcher who pitched a shutout the last game has the tendency to get rocked after, better chip the giants series.

I have to say while I have nothing personal against Lee, I all but hope that he gets rocked tonight, as I simply cannot take the ESPN nation-assholes hyping him up anymore.

People: it's been 2 years and 7 starts. He's had a great run...great pitchers do that. If we were talking about 20-30 starts, that'd be something different.

Problem is, this SF squad doesn't exactly reek of hitters that would be the ones to light him up. With TL going though, they prolly won't have too.

Small play on SF for me.

I was considering waiting to bet SF until after game 1 in case Lee won, but, then I realized, wtf is the point. If SF loses game 1 their odds go down significantly in winning... and if the line really skyrockets to +200 or something I can always add a couple hundred bucks on it

Exactly right - being that I see this matchup as even I like that +125. SF one of best pitching staffs I've ever seen but Texas has edge with bats and intangibles

Glad I placed the bet at +125 rather than waiting like I considered to see Lee win game 1 before placing bet.

Here we go giants here we go. Amazing being in the bay right now... so electric. I am getting tickets for tomorrows game

kayve, how could you think you're alone? I got them at 14 to 1 in April, though I'd gladly pay all the money i'd win plus cut of my right arm if it meant the Giants win the World Series. Let's go Giants...clap...clap.......clapclapclap

No one responded to the thread for a while. Felt alone

Great win last night... Sad that I am not gonna be at the game tonight. Just can't afford $500 for SRO's... :( I will be watching from TV and hopefully celebrating the streets of SF after the game

This will be a double win for me of course. For 1, it is $500 that goes straight to a 19% APR credit card that needs to be paid off which tickles my fancy. I also haven't had a WS win for my giants in my 26 years of life being born in the bay and living here since. CMON GIGANTES

kayvebear - You are not alone!

I got SF at +120 the morning of the game 1.

I bet 200 to win 240 - despite almost ESPN MLB analyst picking TEX (15 of 20 did)
I am sure these same "analysts" earlier picked NYY/PHI in the WS.

I'm a Mets fan in LA. I love listening to Kruk/Kuip SF broadcasts after the earlier Mets game.

So I got to know your torturous team - and I think they are very special.
I haven't made a MLB bet all year and I couldn't be happier.

Picking SF to win the series right now is -330. Wow!

So... I hedged it. Put up $150 at +264 on TEX for the series.

Now I am guaranteed to either break even or win $350. Take it to the bank
