Anyone been there?

We went years ago, but forgot how to get there and how far it was.

I see sites that say 80 miles and some say 150.

Anyone know the most direct route?

I dont know what j123 is , he's in communications so i doubt he's on the inside of much top secret shit. In fact they must not need him to bad, they shipped him to Kuwait at 6am this morning....He's been to Iraq and AFGH 2 times each, so this is his 5th deployment.....6 months minimum this time.

The Janet flights carry workers from Las Vegas to Area 51, the Tonopah Test Range, Edwards AFB (North Base), and other "spook" areas. The Janet Terminal is in it own "secure" area at McCarran. This photo was taken just outside the secure area. [If you have a GPS, go to N36 05.602 W115 09.888] There is much confusion on the net as to which road leads to the terminal, due to the fact that the general area has been rebuilt over the years and the map makers haven't kept up. I claim you take Mandalay Bay to get to this spot. The 737 in the background has the standard red strip around the middle used by the Janet planes.

The Little A'Le'Inn Restaurant and Bar. This is a great place to meet both locals and visitors from all over the world that come here to visit the nearby Area 51. The owner Pat Travis and her staff are always ready for a chat, and to talk about the latest "sightings" at Area 51. Try their Alien Burger, and while you wait, browse the gift shop and check out the unique wall displays of UFO photos.

yummy!

My brother flew in there once. I asked him if he had ever heard of Groom Lake and he said "oh, you mean Dreamland!"

He was flying F4's out of George AFB in Southern California in the late 80's and early 90's. His plane had mechanical problems and Groom Lake was the closest place to land. He said they had to clear all personnel and planes before he could land. Once he landed they put him and the other pilot in a plane and flew them to Nellis. He was told to never tell anyone what he saw there. He said all he saw were buildings. No planes, no people, nothing.
