Not sure why threads are popping up that because the public likes Texas to win the series that the Giants are the play. Well, the line tonight certainly does seem inflated in the direction of Texas, but I do think they will probably get the win, I mean, you didn't really expect to get the American League team with Cliff Lee pitching against a bunch of dud hitters at less than at least 20 cents did you?
Either way, my play tonight is under 5.5.
Hard to really feel the need to justify the play considering what I just said about the Giants lineup. Bottom line is these have been the two best pitchers throughout the post-season. We have the more pitcher-friendly of the ballparks. After Lee easily disposed of the Rays and Yankees lineups this Giants team is going to look like a steep drop in class for him. Can't see the Giants scratching more than 1 and expect a pretty solid chance for a shutout. Meanwhile Lincecum gets to take the bump at home and I think he should give all the lesser Texas hitters fits and should neutralize the real key in that lineup that is Cruz. Some of Hamilton's HR's wouldn't have gone out in SF and while he might easily get lift on one, I don't think he'll be able to do enough damage to push this one over. 2-0 Texas final is what I'm thinking, which leaves some real wiggle room, even with such a low total.
