How is the place? Headed down with some friends to visit some college buddies and gonna hit he casino for the weekend? Any tips since I've never been there. Ways to rack up comps, good eats, etc. Would love to get a suite comp. I dont plan on being back anytime soon so do they allow myself and buddies to be linked together for comps?

thx

Nice ambiance, some chicks to be had(the free ones), some of the others, too. Food is spotty, depending. Plenty of good parking. I am not a high roller, so I can't help with a comment on the rest, sorry. Card games are lively, tho, lines sometimes for the big games, but $ talks, as usual. I just refuse to get caught up in that, I'd rather take my shot with foots or baskets. Plenty of strip clubs in the area, open late and great time especially if UR a big weener, scuse me, winner at HRock. Watch your wallet, tho, cash disappears verrrrrry fast. The gals really know their trade down here. GL

If you are trying to get comped the best way is by playing in the "High Stakes" room...look for the signs. Food is spotty, but hit up the Asian place outside(forgot the name). If you are with college buddies you def wanna hit up Tequila Ranch... Wet Willies and Murphys Law are hit or miss. Sign up for their Players Card, last time they were giving 50 Bonus Play for 50 worth of action, plus there are usually drawings for cars during the weekend and all you have to do is swipe the card on a console.

and the poolside restaurant has great grouper tacos....GL

Here is some more info:

The HR Hollywood has about 80 Blackjack tables, Pai Gow Poker and some other table games. High Limit Room has baccarat and mini baccarat. Regular tables 8 deck and are mostly $25 minimum, some $15 min during the day. High limit room is $100 min but six deck, if that matters to you. There are some decent restaurants including, Tabuu which is a sushi/asian fare place, very good food, imo. There is also a Fort Lauderdale standby, Matorano's which is a italian food restaurant with an ambiance that must be experienced to be understood. Think disco meets Goodfellas. Definitely check it out and bring your appetite.

Several good clubs there on the property; just ask around for which ones are good what nights. They get some famous DJ's that filter through on occasion. They also have a big auditorium with some pretty good shows, concerts, comedians, etc.

Tons of hot women filter through the place and also a good place to hang during Dolphins games in the main bar of the casino. GL.

Pool, is so-so, not up to the typical Hardrock standards, imo. I've been to the HR pools in Vegas and Pattaya Beach and this isn't even in the same conversation.
