Always enjoy handing out candy but this year I'm thinking about shutting the lights down and hiding out in the basement. I live in a sub division and get tons of kids. Still would have to go get candy as well. So dick move or what guys??

The close off the WHOLE street here and hundreds of kids come by. No Front Porch Light For Me. Just too many kids to deal with.

You could embrace the event and dress up like a $700 Christmas tree?

Dude I just moved that thing like 10 minutes ago......The girlfriend said the other day, "How much did that tree set you back?" and I died laughing.

Those were the houses we use to soap and egg back in the day.

+1.

Come on Harry .... it's fur da kids. Dick move IMO.

Now, if you happen to run out of candy and you get a bunch of teen-agers over late at night, I've found that a can or two of Salmon is a wonderful gift to give. Just don't let them see you're putting it in their bag.

Every year at least a few kids get a can of Salmon from me (or soup .... love split pea).

I caved.....Just got back from Wal-mart with enough candy for 6 neighborhoods. I'll be dipping into it during the games today.

That's the guy we know. Now, do you have social beverages for the adults that come to your house?

The circle that I live on in Williamsville has about 45 houses or so. About 15 of us setup social beverages for the adults to enjoy while walking their kids around. Now that's the way to handle all hallows eve.

Good idea; especially since it's gonna be 40 fucking degrees out tomorrow night. Could alternate shots and shooters from house to house.

I can't take credit for the idea guys. Started out about 6 or 7 years ago when we had that real warm Halloween night. Was around 75, maybe 78 degrees out. One of the neighbors decided to buy Pizza for the entire circle (can't image what that cost) so a few of us brought over beer, wine and vodka, among others.

After pizza one of the guys put a table out in his lawn and put his left-over beers out. Everybody agreed it was a great idea, so the year after about 5 of us did it. Fast forward and now about 1/3 of the people put out something - everything from mulled wine, hot totties, hard cider, beers, etc..

I'll was planning on Red Bull and Grey Goose but seeing on how it's probably going to be in the 30's I may do hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps. Not really sure yet what I'm going to do. If I do the hot chocolate gotta get some foam cups that can handle the heat.

Anyway, have a great night all.
