Actually even though I did purchase a $2 ticket for tonight (Like so many others, I have a certain set of numbers I play everytime), I have been focused on my State Pick 4 Lottery as of late. With my new strategy of trying to hit the numbers by their each individual columns instead of one four digit number, I have hit one $100 box this week and 3 out of 4 twice. Maybe one day I can luck up and hit a 50 cent straight winner for $2500. The girl at the grocery store seems to think my new strategy has merit and she plays my numbers too. Some days I get the payout sheet from the previous day to see how much $$$ the State pays out. It is really suprising to see some of those big numbers. Somebody was hitting for $$$ and it was not me, hence the new strategy. Only time will tell if will work in the long run.
No luck today in the afternoon Pick 4 either. I had 2287 $1 Straight Box and it came up 0012. Never would have played double 0's. Sometimes I try a Powerball Ticket with a combination of numbers that have not appeared in 10 drawings. I know the concept of each individual drawing is independent of the last, but by playing the cold numbers (especially when the jackpot is huge) I am hoping they might ALL show up on one night and thus giving me a better chance of having a combination they might get me in the major money. If you go to a lottery retailer and get a copy of the winning numbers, you can easily form a list of cold numbers by which you can play a ticket with a combination of numbers that have not appeared in over 10 drawings. Sometimes the cold numbers show and sometimes they don't, but it is a strategy I think could pay off if you are lucky enough to have them ALL show up on the drawing night.
Another strategy I learned online was what is called a 2/3 pattern. If the numbers 1-29 can be called the low side and the numbers 30-59 the high side, then following a 2/3 pattern, I want to play 2 numbers on the low side and 3 numbers on the high side OR 3 numbers on the low side and 2 numbers on the high side. If you incorporate an even odd pattern also, it supposedly helps your chances of hitting numerous numbers. For Example: 5 22 35 44 53 14 25 32 41 50See the 2/3 pattern high and low as well as even and odd?All the articles I have read indicate 70% of jackpot winners will fall in this pattern. I will try and utilize this pattern this coming Saturday with the list of cold numbers in the past 10 draws and hope for the best. Still in the big scheme of things, it is still indeed a crap shoot.

The ticket was the only one to match all of the numbers of the multimillion-dollar jackpot -- 7, 12, 23, 34, 38 and 33.
The winner has not yet come forward. According to Powerball rules in Michigan, winners cannot remain anonymous when they claim their win.
Residents in the area say the ticket sale will likely boost sales at the shop.
"Maybe it's a lucky spot," one resident told the station.

Maybe the jackpot will be big again by Christmas. I love it when it gets to like $200 million dollars around Christmas Time. My old high school team got the big Homecoming win and now will play in the first round of the high school playoffs Friday Night. Hoping the weather will hold out until Friday. We usually will have 15,000 plus in attendance for playoff games at $10 a head making for a $150,000 plus gate. A really big source of revenue for our community this time of year.
