There is now an ESPN 3, along with ESPN News that's 96 hours of programming per day. Comparing Rondo's assist totals to start the year with Magic and Stockton is a lot more substance than most of the shit they talk about

You could have stopped your question after "Anyone else sick of ESPN?"

Answer to both is "Yes."

My sources tell me that ESPN has stats on which toothpaste, Colgate, Crest, Aim, even Toms Natural, that indiviual players use. There in the process of using this inside info to formulate angles to make predictions, etc based on this, and will be using this in their future broadcasts. Could be critical stuff, especially for the NHL.

Since going on the internet back in mid 90's Ive been harping on this. They work so damn hard at concocting statistics that its laughable. I wish I could remember some of the doozies over the years, some actually made me laugh out loud they were so pathetic. The thing annoying the piss out of me this year is that they try so hard to give every Saturday a special tag for their college football rollouts. I believe last week was "Roadblock Saturday" LOFL!!! What a bunch of assholes!!! Unfortunately they probably have some little toadie that proves to the execs that viewership somehow increases by putting labels on a random Saturday. HEY ESPN, HERE"S A STAT... 93% OF YOUR STATISTICS ARE FUCKING WORTHLESS!!!! :finger:

You are so right man. Those records are all pointless.

You know who else is guilty of that? The Yankee organization.

They just did it again...

Dwight Howard first player ever to have 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 8 blocks in less than 25 minutes of play.

You are the first poster with 12,000 posts, 2 boobs, and references to "shit", "degree", "wall", and "flash".

What irritates me to no end is when a football broadcaster says something like, "This team is 5-0 when scoring 35 or more points this season." NO SHIT! Like it's some huge revelation that scoring lots of points leads to victories. And its always complemented by graphic that lists all of their games to prove they score lots of points, they win, and when they don't they lose. I see this all the time. Maddening. ##)

That is so funny I was thinking the same thing last night when ESPN said "most assists in first 4 games ever". I was thinking Ok who has it for the first 13 games?

haha I was just about to say, they all sound very Madden-esque... "4 times out of 5 the team that scored the most points won the game"

Agree /w OP though, I saw that Rondo stat being thrown around and felt the same way (and I'm a huge fan). I'm happy to see he's piling up a ton of assists, but let's wait and see how the season plays out before we start adding them all up.

Unless you can get an award for it then it should not be a record. Simple as that. Would Dwight Howard get an award for being the first player ever to have 18 points, 17 rebounds and 8 blocks in less than 25 minutes of play?

No? Then shut the fuck up ESPN.
