I know DLP's aren't as small as the flat screens.... but they are slim enough to not take up a lot of space...

They use to advertise them "its the mirrors" they aren't as sharp as LEDs (although maybe there are some DLP LEDs. Anyone know? ) but I liked them. Great Value...

Is there a reason they are not as popular, or is it just because you can't put them on the wall, which is very overrated in my opinion....

Anyone still sell them?

They're not as popular for two main reasons, I think - the first like you said, that they can't easily be hung on a wall. The second is that they still use lamps that burn out and are expensive to replace. Another lesser factor could be that some (very few, but some) people still get headaches watching DLPs because of the technology.

tigerdirect.com and dell.com still sell Mitsubishi DLPs - which are very nice televisions if you need 60" or bigger, although at that point an actual home theater projector might be more suitable.

a mitsubishi is the way to go. projector bulbs are mor han rear projection and are not intended for eveyday use. u can gt amits rear projecttion 82inch for $2400 or 73 inch for $1400. they are only 12-18" deep now. and they do offer stands which putt them high enough as if they were mounted
