the worst 4/5 you've ever seen?

Now I'm not a US horse racing fan. I bet horses very seriously in the UK but this just looks bizarre to be 4/5. West Coast to East, Poly to Dirt, a dream ride to win last year and very questionable from this year (scrambling home at 1/10 etc). Now these are enough reasons to oppose but at 4/5 its a no brainer.

FYI - Zenyatta is 3/1 in the UK as i write this and I'm not tempted.

i love zenyatta and i want her to win but YES its one of the worst wagers ive ever seen IMO. if you wanna bet $2 to win and keep the ticket then fine. but there's absolutely no value on her at these prices. the field is way way to deep and one of the most loaded ive ever seen. my dad used to tell me when i was young and ill go to the grave with it "always bet with your wallet and never with you heart" if i do bet the race today ill bet with my wallet and root to lose my money (i actually might make a small WPS wager on the japanese import espoir city with an exacta box with Zenyatta. nothing crazy b/c i cant root against the queen today....

To answer your question, No not a all. Obviously she was overbet due to many just buying tickets for souveniers. But the worst 4/5 does not lose by just a nose at the wire...

lets clear up one thing...there might have been 10,000 - 20,000 in ticket buyers at Churchill today,.,. call is $20,000 - $40,000 spent that way..hell double it $80,000....

there was over 2 milling on her in the win pool!

the amount of fun tickets had nothing to do with her being even money,.....

She was the undefeated defending Breeders Cup Classic champion.

I thought she would go off at 3/2 against that field and would have played her at 5/2 or more.

Why does she start off so far back..i don't understand that...most great horses are much closer to the pack. I hate that she lost like that, why even run her in that race..so many are disappointed and such..sometims beiong conservative is best in my view..she was already awesome..this win would not of made her any better then she was already....she fkin won a breeders cup last year

It is very hard to change a horse's running style. They are what they are. She one 19 straight running that type of race. Give credit to Blame. Looked like she had him. Blame fought back in the last couple of jumps to hold her off. They both showed a ton of heart.

Hockey..Horses have running styles some need to get to the front and hate it when others try to pass, others do there best running from behind and some can win from any place on the track if the pace set up for them...Very simple explanation but hope you get the idea.
