Some jag offs digging through our front yard, cuts are cable line##)

Cable can't get here till Thursdays. I broke down and bought a converter and antenna......

I really only watch TV on Saturday/night and Sundays for Foots and things like that, but man, what a pain in the ass

Learned to do while staying in Thailand. Friend let me share his house but no cable or sat in his place. Learned just how much is available online with Justin.tv, channel surfing, etc. Plus he had an amazing collection of movies and XBox 360 games. Got along quite nicely!

something similar happened at my place last year, unfortunately internet also is from the cable provider. only missed a couple of days, but it seemed like living in
the stone age with no net. worst thing was the cable company kept saying they
were ''working on it'' when nothing was being done at all, as the problem was only
at my place and when they finally did send a worker around, he fixed it in half an
hour.

no problem at all going without tv but major inconvenience without
an internet connection.

Can't get there until Thursday?
Who is your caable provider, that's piss poor CS in my book.

I just read an interesting piece on how internet TV is killing the networks.

And to answer the question in the thread, no, I work for the cable company here.

Most everything you'd want to watch is online somewhere; living internationally from the sports you watch you quickly realise this.

for those of you answering that you use he net for everything now.. no cable. I have three questions :
1 - do you live with a g/f or wife
2 - do you have kids
3 - do you entertain people at your home ... ex : dudes over to watch a game. a date to watch a movie.

I have a feeling it would be very difficult to have others in the home with you if there was no cable just using laptops, etc. especially wife and or kids.

C'mon: You just really need just air to breathe, water to drink and food to eat. Any sort of telecommunications are not "needed" for survival.

I'd do fine on Gilligan's island with Maryanne and Ginger to service me !

What if you were born in the year 1900 or earlier ?
