How much would a bettor have to win before he is cut off?

a dime at LVH is good, I did 4K one time, took a bit longer, but not much of a batted eye.

I am surprised at these low numbers.

I heard someone put down 500K on the Super Bowl a few years ago.

I remember hearing a poker player by the name of Phil Ivey had 1.5M on the Colts in the Superbowl last year.

for one this was a SUPERBOWL bet... the books allow much higher action on these games.. hell even pinny and greek offer 50K posted on websites (albeit I have heard u can ask for higher bets than that, probably 100K max on superbowl)

at a sportsbook they have millions of action on each side in vegas and as i said before that "if they know you, you can usually bet more" obviously phil ivey is known. heh

most books in Reno well only let you bet a 1000 before they'll adjust the line then you're free place another 1000

But as for getting backed off, I've never seen it because someone was winning, I've seen it for other reasons though. I hear it happens a lot online. but if a book hangs a line in Nevada anyone can bet it at the max price although if the book gets scared some but not all will put lower limits on a certain game. Ever got a ticket in Vegas and it said limited on the ticket? The people that get backed off from what I've heard are people that are actually involved in the event and have inside information. Another thing about Nevada is that if a book hangs a bad line its fair game, and your ticket is as good as gold.

They will take large bets on NFL and NBA...try beting more than $200 on a college football or cbb game and you will have your hands full.

Places like The Hilton,The M & possilly Southpoint will take larger bets on college sides and totals.College totals are a red flag for these books-especially the smaller schools.
