What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving??? The football, the food something else?

actually. I donate a lot of cakes to the foodbank here. I go and serve them.....that makes it worth it

I look forward to the annual 5K Turkey Trot in town on thanksgiving morning... Over 4000 runners and really works up the appetite for dinner later on.

6-10 hours couped up with the in-laws (who are anti drinking) is torture. The food is great but it always makes me feel like a nap which is not allowed. The football helps to pass the time , but all in all Thanksgiving is one of my least favorite days of the entire year.

...BUT - The Friday after thanksgiving i'm home alone (drinking and gambling) it's one of my favorite days of the year !

Sined we have moved away from family my wife and I really enjoy cooking the big traditional Thanksgiving feast together. I get a huge bird, and we spend a good portion of the day making everything from scratch.

Usually invited over to neighbors/friends, so we go have a few cocktails and then come back and destroy that bird in 30 minutes.

But the best part may be the leftovers.
