I can recall one time in my life because of a torn muscle. Another time I showed up for work and couldn't last my shift. Once or twice had to call in because I was late. And once about 13 years ago at my 4:00am job fucked up and fell back asleep after the alarm clock went off
I've seen plenty of people abuse sick time privileges. I wouldn't call it karma, but that type of shit gets noticed no one likes it. Though whatever they do about it, it doesn't make up for earning a full paycheck while staying home

I have been working the same job for 24 years. I have 173 sick days saved up. We used to get 1 every month until the retards would use them as soon as they got them. So the boss kicked it back to 1/2 day every month.

I get 5 sick days a year so I call in sick a minimum of 5 times this year. Only called in sick once this year so far and that was the day after the Super Bowl. Gotta absorb 4 sick days between now and December 31st. Going to use one of them next Monday.

not so sure what you're all so proud of.....does calling in once a year show a sign of your awesome work ethic? speak to the kind of hard working man you are?..... aside from the self employed business owner ...you go to college, or learn a trade, prostitute yourself by trading at least 40 valuable hours a week to the man? all the while we know our tickets can be pulled at any moment, but one must eat right?
While I'm glad to run my own business, I have much more respect for the individual who's maxing out his vacation and sick days. When I was 18, and busting my ass at an office job, for the work I put in, I was at a rate of 1 day every month or two at the worst. Issues only came up when those days were steadily mondays and fridays.
