In any other town, Mike Brown would have sold the team or left ...

... to think the morons in Hamilton County voted to pay additional sales tax to give the cock sucker an extra $700 million to build a stadium.

Then he names the stadium in his dad's name ...

... but the leach wants Bob Kraft to share the money the Pats get from Gillette for their naming rights, when Bob Kraft built Gillette with his OWN fucking cash.

Blame the owner, bro .... the team has sucked for 20+ years ... who is to blame for that?

For as long as Marvin Lewis is there, he shoulders the blame

Get rid of Lewis and you'll still suck.

If you run an NFL team like a mom-and-pop store ... you get a mom-and-pop team.

PS: For others ... did you know the Bengals are so fucking cheap they don't even hire full time scouts????!!!!???? Well, at least they didn't from 1990 to 2002 ... don't know after that.

Bengals Vs. Saints: How Does Marvin Lewis Keep His Job After Latest Debacle?

By Brian DiTullio
(Featured Columnist) on December 5, 2010

The Bengals find new ways to lose after they almost beat the defending Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints.
With a 30-27 lead at the end of the fourth quarter, and the Saints facing fourth and short, all the Bengals had to do was not jump offsides as Drew Brees went to the line instead of kicking a field goal to tie the game.
So Pat Simms decided the game wasn't exciting enough and jumped offsides, resulting in a Saints first down.
The Saints score one play later, and now it's 34-30 Saints with less than a minute to go. The Bengals benefit from one heck of a runback that lets Carson Palmer start the drive at midfield. While the Bengals need to score a touchdown, that field position should let them get at least two shots at the end zone.
Instead, Palmer decides after a completion in bounds to rush the offense to the line of scrimmage to spike the ball.
It is important to remember the Bengals still had timeouts. So Palmer ended up running the clock down on his own offense, and by the time he did call timeout, there only were six seconds left to play.
So another game doesn't end well because the Bengals are undisciplined at the line and their quarterback makes poor decisions.

2 year extension:

http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20120731/SPORTS20/120739893/1008/SPORTS

Last updated: July 31, 2012 2:42 p.m.

CINCINNATI – Bengals coach Marvin Lewis has received a two-year contract extension through the 2014 season, extending the longest coaching tenure in franchise history.

Lewis is entering his 10th season as head coach, a club record. The Bengals are 69-74-1 under Lewis, with three winning records in his nine seasons. They’re 0-3 in the playoffs.

Lewis played out his contract during the 2009 season, then accepted a two-year extension after two days of discussions with owner Mike Brown.

The Bengals reached the playoffs last season as a wild card, going 9-7 before losing to Houston in the first round. Lewis was entering the last year on that two-year deal.

Lewis is third in the NFL in current tenure with one team, behind Philadelphia’s Andy Reid and New England’s Bill Belichick.

It is hard to fire black coaches in basketball and football these days. Look at the black Colorado football coach who played the race card after winning 3 or 4 games the last 2 years.

And the Rooney rule is the biggest bunch of BS i Have ever heard. If I ran an NFL team or a huge business, i would not hire any of them and accept the negative media crap as it would give me a platform to explain why and nobody would have the knowledge to refute anything I said.

We here the media talk up black quarterbacks like crazy these days making all of them seem better than they really are, why do we never hear about a white running back even somewhat getting a chance? There are plenty of them who were successful in college and even then, they prob. had to fight like hell just to get that chance in college.

I love how Kirk Cousins performance in his 1 start was quickly shelved my media outlets. They basically said it in passing and then wanted to update RG version 42's knee sprain status while Cousins played great against a better Browns team than people realize.

This will prob. get deleted even though it is all true.

Marvin Lewis signs 1-year extension

By Coley Harvey
ESPN.com

CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati Bengals signed coach Marvin Lewis to a one-year contract extension Friday.
His previous contract, renewed after the 2010 season, was set to expire after 2014.

"Marvin has earned this commitment for the job he is doing," Bengals president and owner Mike Brown said. "We are one of only five teams to qualify for the playoffs the last three years, and our prospects are bright looking ahead.
"Marvin is driven to achieve more," Brown added, "and we are happy to secure his leadership of our team beyond the coming season."
Cincinnati went 11-5 in 2013, winning a third AFC North title and reaching the playoffs for a third straight season for the first time. As they have for all five of Lewis' playoff appearances, though, the Bengals lost, 27-10 in the wild-card round to the visiting San Diego Chargers.
With the extension, Lewis enters 2014 coaching his franchise-record 12th season. He is 90-90-1, including the playoffs, and his 90 wins are a club record.
Lewis confirmed to reporters at the NFL combine in Indianapolis three weeks ago that he and Brown were discussing a new deal. The extension comes amid concerns the team isn't making many moves in free agency.
Four days into the free-agency period, the Bengals have re-signed only three players while releasing two others and losing another three to other teams. A fourth, wide receiver Andrew Hawkins, is likely to leave because the Bengals are not expected to match his offer sheet with the Cleveland Browns.
