huge skynyrd fan so im biased..free bird by a nose.....i think most will and should say stairway........free bird isnt even in my top 5 of skynyrd songs.......simple man and tuesdays gone with the wind 1 and 2

O.K. I like this. This is a sensible match up considering they are both lengthy songs. (7:55 stairway & 9:06 Free Bird)

I'm going to pick stairway. It's superior in every way. It has better writing, instruments, vocal work & composition.

Agree with Simple man... but unless you are a fan, most people wouldn't know it.

Not that this has anything to do with the poll but I thought Led Zepplin was a sloppy ass band after IV

They just went through the motions on stage.

Robert Plant could barley hold a note.

Skynyrd was a working mans band imo.

Fan of Both Zep and Skynyrd, but I still agree here. Stairway and Zep were a better Band IMHO.

Can't say anything wrong about Page, the guy was a Semi-God on Guitar

I will say this : "Free Bird" was some what of an anthem to the "I don't give a shit, let's throw caution to the window" persistent freewheeling attitude of the 70's.

I thought Page was sloppy also Bohnam was the only one who cared after the stardom came about.

Did I mention I saw Zeppelin 1971 four fifty in advance five dollars at the door.
