With the passing of Mariners broadcaster and Hall of Fame inductee Mr. Dave Niehaus.

Grew up listening to the voice of the man that's been with the M's since their entry into the league in 1977. Two catch phrases I'll never forget are "Goodbye Mr. Baseball" and "My oh My."

The moment I'll never forget is his call in the 1995 playoffs when Edgar Martinez hit the game winning double to score Ken Griffey Jr. from first base.

May you rest in piece Mr. Niehaus. You made my afternoons listening to baseball so enjoyable through good times and bad. Class act.

Sad news.
Dave was one of the greats, you can put in the same sentence with Harwell and the others.
Sad news indeed.

Thats too bad. Only hears him a couple of times, but was held in very high regard among his peers.

"Get out the rye bread and mustard, Grandma, it is grand salami time!"

Did not get to hear him much but only on Hi Lites
