I understand ads, but every time I click a new thread it pops up. I've closed it over 30 times already today. Any fixes for this?

Sports Options gives away a ton of free money and prizes to members of this website. The answer is "you put up with a quick popup so they continue to doll out money". Freakin RX poster patswin just won Super Bowl tickets, flight, limo, hotel, and $10,000 dollars from Sports Options. I say let them have their ad space if they are giving away huge prizes.

Not a good answer Jake. For those of us that don't play in those free contests we could care less. It's annoying when you have to click this thing over and over again so it doesn't pop open.

It's like a damn internet telemarketer that won't go away.

ESPN has some massive ad for a video game. Websites have ads. That's the way it is. Be thankful that ours give away a ton of cash and don't just take up space.

If you didn't work here you wouldn't be saying the same thing.

BS I wouldn't. Rick and SportsOptions are bad ass. I'm not the type to tow the company line. I was pissed off with everyone else when the website changed the look and I made it known. I'm used to it now and think its just fine but I've never been one to just sit back and let things go. They just gave away like $25,000 to RX members. I say let them be. Nobody likes popup ads and no one likes slipping on ice. You tell me that I have a shot at a free $25,000 by slipping on ice, I say bring on the ice.

I emailed Rick at SportsOptions a link to this thread to see if there is any remedy to use to relieve browsers from getting constant pop-ups from SportsOptions when they open new threads. He may post about the subject or I will - if I find anything out regarding the matter from him.

Thank you, wilheim

No problem here, never seen a popup from them ever......must have some type of blocker installed.

For those that are experiencing the popups and are irritated by them, you certainly have my condolences, as that certainly must be annoying.

Why? You won a TV so are thankful for SO so obviously you have a different opinion and that's cool. Most that come here don't play in those contests and 1 or two popups is cool but the spam job is annoying. Just want to click on the threads and such without having SO appear in my dreams.
