i guess it was boise who started that crap a few years ago, score a td and go for 2 early.....now oregon's doing it.....looks like it paid off for them in a meaningful way with a 15-13 win

I still can't believe Cal missed a chip shot field goal in the 4th. Lost by 2 after missing a 29-yarder. Doh!

how can u say going for 2 paid off brah?

if they would have went for 1 they still win the game 14-13 BUT they do not RISK MISSING THE 2 pt conversion and having a tie 12-12

imo going for 2 is dumb unless u have an idiot coach like chip kelly who went for it questionably on 4th and ?? from his own side of the 50 multiple times.

This guy is like the new tom amstutts from Toledo. LOL.. and if he does this shit in the bcs championship he will get embarrassed.

Did you watch the game? Cal went for two (and missed) because they were down by two. Had they been down by one, they most surely would have tied it 14-14.

actually on 2nd thought they would have LOST the game if they missed the 2 pt not tied. cuz when cal scored and went for 2 and missed they would have just got a extra point and won 13-12.

:shakes head: another reason why chip kelly is a moron

im trying to explain the DISADVANTAGE of going for 2.. not make up some advantage by going for a play that is at best 30% .. IF THEY MISS THE 2 CAL would have NEVER went for 2 and kicked a nice and easy extra point to have a chance of winning THE GAME by 1.

its a dumb call Period. shows u the brains of coaching when u play for a play station conference.

So then OU would have kicked the FG, instead of taking the knee @ the end. Same result OU W!!
