let's not get pulled into "SEC is always the best" talk....years back I remember the Florida St. and Miami's being good....SEC has had a good decade or so but let's stick to this year cause we tend to forget college players cycle out every 3 or 4 years.....2006 or 2007 teams are entirely different except maybe the coaching staff.

Here is how I feel today:

1. Pac-10
2. SEC
3. WAC
4. Big 10
5. Big 12
6. MWC
7. ACC
8. Big East
9. Conf USA
10. MAC
11. Sun Belt

sorry if i forgot a conf, but if i did they probably are fogettable

I think the top 4 are all interchangable...There is a top team from all four which will goto BCS and it will be fair. Also I wouldn't doubt 2 more teams come from those conferences too. except maybe Big12 cuz the champions will go, no one else I would gamble on. But with Big10 atleast 2 should play probably wisky/ohio st.. SEC definitely LSU should be in a bcs and cant play for title cuz either auburn or SC will. and Oregon should go out of pac10as well as stanford might but wont win title

its sad the big east has dwindled to below wac and mwc.. crazy

yeah i am a wac homer and they should probably be below big ten and big 12 but i'm holding on to Boise who i think is the best team in all 3 of those conf. (Bten B12, WAC)

I think the SEC is moving down.....all we hear about is illegal actions done by the kids and the schools....and in general they aren't as impressive unless they are playing each other (that says something)

Pac 10 is moving up all around and I think USC's decline looks bigger than it is because the teams they are with are improving so rapidly.

Big ten I see moving up and Big 12 feels like they are moving down (Texas having an off year is like USC but the rest of the big 12 isnt getting better)

ACC is not nearly as powerful as they once were and the big east is a joke

MWC and WAC should merge (lol...funny seeing as they all have the same mommy and daddy) cause these new wac teams are f'n horrible. they should kick out La Tech and I hate to say it but they should kick out Hawaii too and make one conference where travel isnt THAT bad

SEC and Pac 10 are clearly top 2, please don't try to insinuate Big 10 is on that level = NO WAY IN HELL!!!! Wisconsin only Top 10 wothy team, Ohio ST maybe, every other team not top 20. Big 12 is probably 3rd best, WAC /MtnWest is better than given credit for but hard to rate ...mainly cuz I keep forgetting which team is in which conf. ACC is weak and Big East sucks out loud. Bottom line is that the best 15 teams are from all over the place, Big 12 should probably have most Top 20 teams.

WAC???

Otherwise known as Boise..........and a pile of garbage.

If you're ranking conferences from top to bottom, the WAC is below the ACC around the 7th best conference.

The best WAC team went across the country to beat the best ACC team. The second best WAC team is ranked higher than the 2nd best ACC team. There really aren't any important games played between the two conferences but the 3rd or 4th best WAC team (Fresno) beat the Big East winner from last year. Tough to call the ACC any better than the WAC. Maybe on the strength of the worst 3 or 4 teams but not on strength at the top.

After that it's wide open, but none of them come close to the top four.
