BOISE -- Boise Police arrested Kristina Ross, 37, of Boise, Tuesday afternoon and charged her with unlicensed practice. The charge stems from the accusation that she gave two women breast exams under the guise of being a plastic surgeon.
Police first heard of the incidents on November 2nd, after being called to a medical office in downtown Boise that was reporting a string of strange calls.
The office said it had received numerous calls over the proceeding weeks coming from women claiming they had an appointment with a "Dr. Berlyn Aussieahshowna." Employees were concerned because no one by that name works at the office.
Police obtained the names of two woman victims and found during interviews both woman had met Ross at a bar or nightclub. Acting as "Aussieahshowna" and claiming to be a plastic surgeon, Ross convinced both woman to let her perform a breast exam, claiming it was a medical evaluation.
She then provided the name a "Dr. Aussieahshowna" and left the number for the downtown office.
Investigation show Ross has never been a licensed medical doctor nor has she ever worked at the office where she referred the victims. Additionally, no evidence has been found of a Berlyn Aussieahshowna ever being licensed to practice medicine in the State of Idaho.
Ross is currently being held in Ada County Jail.
Detectives are currently investigating the possibility there are more victims. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
