Should I make this trade? in our league we play 1 QB, 2RBs, 1 flex, 2 WR, 1 TE, K, Def

Drew Brees and Matt Forte for Frank Gore. (The guy lost Romo and is starting Cassell)

My Roster has the following:

Vick - * I could pick up Josh Freeman as my back up.
Ahmad Bradshaw
Steve Jackson
LT
Reggie Bush
Roddy White
Fitz/Macklin/Braylong
Vernon Davis

This trade would give me 3 stud rbs to start and LT as a back up. It would be put me over the top but I would be screwed if Vick got hurt.

Is it worth the risk?

I think he is getting the better of the deal but at this point in the season it is a trade like might put you over the top. Trade deadline is soon approaching and you can't have all those points, whether it be Vick or Brees, sitting on the bench.
I think the fact that you can get Freeman is another reason to do it. He has been consistent all year and has a good schedule. I say go for it or trade Vick to the highest bidder.

Steak,

Y not?

LAX,

That's what I was thinking... Trade deadline is the 21st... 2 days to make a move or go with what I have.

Depth isn't important now that the byes are gone. I would do it. No one can touch those RB's.

I think Forte and Gore are pretty damn close. That's not a good trade. You should be able to get an Adrian Peterson or Chris Johnson for Brees/Forte. Gore has about 1200 yards and 5 TDs this year. Forte has 1000 yards and 7 TDs. The only knock on Forte is that he has some tough matchups in the fantasy football playoffs while Gore has some easy ones. Still, I wouldn't do it.

Do it. If Brees and Vick are both healthy the rest of the year you're going to be scratching your head every week on who to start and when it comes down to it you will start Vick anyway. Gore is about as steady as any RB. I would make that deal if I was you. Plus Freeman would be a damn good back-up.

What you should be doing is moving Vick now while his value is high. 4 of his 6 starts this year were against bottom 4 passing defenses. Now is the time to trade him.

Thats why i would do it, because of the matchups.

Who in their right mind would trade Vick right before the playoff run? What do you think you would get for him? Forte has thrown some clunkers this year, have the Jets coming up

Jake,
I have 2 days to trade and it is not likely I can get AP or CJ.

I understand I am giving up too much but dont want to have a bunch of guys on the bench that I never play. I am in second place and am going to def make the playoffs so looking for the best possible starting lineups for the few weeks of playoffs.

I have to make a move... This 1 is on the table.

You could get plenty for Vick. Just as much as Brees and Brees is by far a better fantasy prospect for the rest of the year. Maybe even more than Brees.

If you have no options than make the deal. You are giving up way more than you are getting but I'd make the deal if assured a shot at the playoffs.

I'd do it. It's a big upgrade at RB that is worth giving up your back-up QB for. Forte's season #'s are very misleading since most of them came in one big game and Gore is as consistent as can be and is far and away the centerpiece of SF's offense (I know that may not be saying much, haha).

Also, I would not be surprised if LT's touches start to fall so the Jets can keep his old ass in top shape for the playoffs so I think it would be a good time to get a replacement for him. Bradshaw/Jackson/Gore is a sick 1-2-3.

It is a gamble because if Vick gets hurt you're in trouble but I think it's a risk worth taking this late in the season. If you can get a better deal then go for it but if no better offers by the deadline then I'd pull the trigger. Since you already have solid RB's you may want to consider going for a top WR to plug in next to Rowdy. Man, you have a shitload of depth so you have a lot of pieces to work with. GL either way.
