never really understood horse racing or betting on animals in general. Just seems like too many variables to me to put money on it. Anyone else on here never get into it? My parents say they use to take me to the track when i was younger to see the horses, but I dont remember it. Could not imagine spending the day at a track, just boring to me.

I love horse racing and sitting at the track. Too bad Boise closed theirs. The bartender made the stiffest drinks ever.

the very first horse race I saw ever, did not even know there was a sport of horse racing...was the 1975 Kentukcy Derby...was hooked after that...won by a horse called

FOOLISH PLEASURE.......that name sums up my horse racing life story!

Started being interested in 1972, the year Secretartiat was voted Horse of the Year as a 2 year old and was yet to run and win the Triple Crown in 1973. First time I was introduced to reading the Daily Racing Form and the challenge to pick a winner I was hooked. Horse racing gets in your blood and it stays there. Give me Derby Day or the Breeders' Cup any day over the Superbowl.

I agree, whole heartedly...

I still to this day remember CASHING big on SEA HERO..(had ALL COMBO'S)

My wife and I stayed a few more days just for fun....GREAT TIME..

on a side note ...about the Derby... I can't beleive how MANY people try to SMUGGLE drinks in.....

that day....I could have opened my own liquor store...strange...also the parking was strange...

Still......worth EVERY breath of my Life....

Its either in your blood or its not.. I completely understand people who have no interest in horse racing, but me I love it personally.. I grew up at the track, was betting pick six's when I was 10, hit 5 out of 6 at Caliente when I was 11..

Horses are my favorite out of all sports..

The sport I can't stand is Nascar, watching cars going around 200 times is very boring to me..
