Remove Nail Polish From Carpet

Way #1-

Use Non acetone nail polish remover and hot water.
use the nail polish right on the spot. Always keep the stain wet. Use small circular motions and scrub. Dont push too hard or you may find yourself with a larger spot than you started with. Then put the hot water on it and keep scubbing. This should work.Be causious nail polish remover may take the color out of your carpet.

Way#2-

Follow the advice in #1 but insteadnused nail polish remover, hydrogen peroxide, carpet cleaner, water and hair spray and it might get it out.

Way #3

Use a lot of water, keep the stain wet! Use about 15-20 squirts of hair spray and 3-5 splashes of rubbing alcohol. Scrub gently with a small scrub brush. Blot with paper towels. Repeat as necessary. Don't forget to keep pouring water during the process.

Way#4

Windex, nail polish remover, shaving cream, hairspray and lots of water. it might make you sick from the fumes but the key is persistence - continue to scrub and scrub and add stuff and most should come out.

assuming you have your fridge in the kitchen...why do you have carpet there? If so that is not a good idea.

Worst case scenario I would turn to Lacquer thinner. Lacquer will remove anything, but make sure it don't remove the dye from the rug. Test it in a inconspicuous place.

Remove the offending carpet immediately. Replace with tile or hardwood - problem solved plus you have gotten rid of that nasty carpet!

If I'm not mistaken, WD-40 takes out a lot of things that you wouldn't believe. Believe it or not, WD-40 is NON TOXIC! You wouldn't believe the uses one can of WD-40 is good for.

mix 1 teaspoon mild detergent with an equal amount white vinegar, to 1 quart warm water. With clean white cloth apply to stain. Continue until the stain disappears.

If Lacquer thinner won't work nothing will, goto Home depot and pick up a small can...I will almost gaurantee you it will work.

I have used those Goo gone products, some work in certain applications and some don't. I have a lot of experience cleaning up carpets stains left behind by my co-workers..
