From College Fantasy Football Insider:

There are a whole bunch of rumblings in Twitterland that Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez MAY, I repeat MAY, have left the Nebraska team.

Those watching last night's game between the Huskers and Texas A&M saw coach Bo Pelini go nuts on his young quarterback while both were on the sideline. Martinez just stood there and took it in a way that could be described as indifferent. Even if these rumors are indeed unfounded, there is clearly some friction between QB and coach. Those looking for further analysis should check out the Better Off Red blog linked below. Farmer Ted did a little lip reading and implies that the cause of Pelini's wrath was Martinez's call to his father while in the locker room after the ankle injury.

Pelini is a wack job. I thought he was going to literally explode last night. He is close to pulling a Woody Hayes. Martinez probably fears for his life with this nut case.

Cy, that said and if it's true, you don't call daddy to the sidelines under any circumstance. Kid needs to grow up a bit.

“If you fucking call your dad on the fucking field during a game again it’ll be the last fucking thing you ever do. Now get your fucking ass [out/down/out of?] here mother fucker.”

Is what he said

Pelini said tonight that everything is cool with Martinez. However Pelini himself isn't out of the woods. Rumor is he could be suspended for the Colorado game for his outbursts at officials and players..

which were all legit...

Bo knew what the officials were doing to his team...Those calls were all horseshit...roughin' the qb...a PI that was picked up...They gave a&m the game...

Too bad Coloarado is checked out too...the last chance they will have to screw the Huskers again is in the Big 12 champ game...& Not on Black Friday...

I am looking for a repeat of last year's screwjob...

& they wonder why Nebraska wanted to leave?

hillarious...

Waah. Poor Nebraska. Yeah, that's why they left the conference, because refs are hosing them. What a bunch of fucking babies. They left for one reason- MONEY. Screw em. They couldn't compete year in and year out anymore against the big boys in the Big 12. They will struggle just as bad in the Big 10. Good riddance.

If he actually called his daddy while on the sidelines, Pelini should have punched him in the face.

Martinez has shown throughout the season that he can be a loner, declining interviews and you really never see him rally the troops.

He's just a corn flake, no tirade will wake him up or automatically motivate him to become a better qb.

The coach has to fucking chill and explain his disagreements in a more calm matter. Threatening your star QB and swearing isn't going to solve anything.

Maybe it won't solve anything but it will light a fire under his ass. Explain disagreements in a more calm matter? There was no disagreement. When you're the coach there is no player that can disagree with you. You're in charge and that's the end of it.

Not necessarily, the mark of great coach knowing how to reach a player. Some responding to being yelled at, other respond when they are talked to in a calm manner
