The baffling picture shows a nude man in the boot of a Mercedes which is parked on the driveway of a house in Mannheim, south-west Germany.

A dog lies nearby surrounded by the contents of the sports car's boot.

The image has prompted a rash of internet speculation over what activity the man could be involved in.

Not shopped, just an illusion. The way google street view works is it drives a bit then takes a picture, then drives and takes another picture. Then it uses software to blend all the sections together to make it look like one long picture. The splices can come at any point. If the dog had it's picture taken and it was at the edge of the photo then that part would show up. Then if the dog moved after that photo, maybe because a car with cameras drove past, then it would not be in the second photo, creating the illusion that it was only half a dog.

Makes sense..
