Has the THINK POINT Viruse Got You Yet?

I've had to reset my restore point on my PC twice in the last three days as this "thing" has attacked my PC.

Both times a screen popped up while I was visiting iwon.com/weather. It's one of those anti virus software that you can't shut off and it won't let you open your browsers. You either agree to use them or all hell breaks loose. I literally had to pull the plug on my PC in order to shut it down. Why do companies pull shit like this?

On another note, how to you get to add/remove programs on Windows 7. Want to make sure they didn't leave any programs in my PC. Just downloaded ad aware to scan my PC.

Got same attack a couple months ago I need a new laptop anyway so that was the last straw I bought a new one.

iwon.com for years has been notorious for phishing, scams and viruses, strongly advise not to visit them.

In windows seven, to remove : 'start' -> 'control panel' -> programs -> ' program & features'
Then select the program you want to uninstall and select the uninstall feature

empty HISTORY...

reboot....press F8...Start Windows in SAFE MODE...

then use your malware or whatever...this should work

I've gotten those fake antivirus programs before and they don't let you open up any other programs. Luckily I used my laptop to search for a solution. I was able to remove it without a problem.

You don't have to restore your computer to factory settings when you get one of these viruses. Just look for solutions on the net.
