oddsmaker player submits six month old slow-pay complaint
An oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) player has filed a payout complaint. On 4/29, the player requested $534 to be paid by bank wire. After submitting wiring instructions, the player received an e-mail saying that he could expect the funds to arrive by 5/14. On 5/20 the player asked oddsmaker for an update. oddsmaker repeated the player's bank account number, but the player states the last digit was incorrect. He claims to have been sure that the correct banking information was initially given to oddsmaker. He reconfirmed his correct details and was told to wait for an e-mail update that would never come.

After following up with oddsmaker over the next few months, the player states he was told by oddsmaker that the $534 payment had yet to be returned by the processor and to wait for their update. Finally, on the player's most recent inquiry in late September, he was again asked for his bank account information.

On 10/12, oddsmaker e-mailed the player saying that his $534 was sent through "********". The player did not operate an ******** account. However, upon receiving that e-mail he immediately opened and validated an ******** account. ******** claimed to not have knowledge of any payment that was attempted to be sent to his name. SBR is following up on this withdrawal complaint. 9/21/2010 08:35 PM
oddsmaker promo burns player
oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) promotional fine-print burns another player. oddsmaker mailed out a free $100 promo prior to the 2010 football season. A player accepted the offer and created an account with oddsmaker. After four weeks the player rolled over his $100 30X and amassed a balance of $2900. When the player made a withdrawal request, oddsmaker zeroed his balance due to one teaser being wagered with the promotional cash. The player was unaware of the rule and points out that he already turned a profit of $527 prior to entering the exotic wager. This is not the first instance of oddsmaker confiscating a winning promo account balance. In a December 2009 sportsbook dispute, SBR reported that oddsmaker zeroed out a $1500 balance from a player that says he followed all listed wagering rules attached to his promo. SBR is following up with oddsmaker. 9/14/2010 02:03 PM

oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) withdrawal complaint
Withdrawal requested
— $3,400 on April 30th.
Player issue — On January 9th a player deposited $250 to oddsmaker (SBR rating D-). After a few months of play, his balance increased to more than $7000. On April 30th he requested a $3,400 withdrawal via priority check. The expected time-frame for delivery was 10 business days. The trouble began when the quoted time passed and no check had been received. The player followed up with oddsmaker to inquire and to his surprise was informed by the cashier department that his "bank wire" was sent. Taken aback by the claim, the player clarified that he requested a priority check and never at any point provided wiring instructions. oddsmaker was adamant that the wire had been sent and suggested he check his bank account for the funds. The book finally acknowledged the error a week later. oddsmaker then told the bettor it was in the process of canceling the bank wire and resending the funds via priority check. Two more months passed and no updates were given to the player on the status of this check.

No progress was made. The player submitted a sportsbook complaint to SBR.

SBR is currently in discussion with oddsmaker management, who said only the banking department could provide updates. When asked about the disconnect between management and the cashier department, an oddsmaker customer service manager stated that it could not comment on the company structure but would provide an update ASAP.

SBR will update this report. | oddsmaker is part of one of the largest online betting scams, FutureBet.

oddsmaker update — sportsbook addresses World Cup prop dispute
oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) has addressed the July 12th World Cup Prop dispute which was filed over the grading of a margin of victory prop. A player wagered $200 on the "Draw" outcome and had his bet graded as a loser. oddsmaker's position is that the bet had to be a 'scoring draw', and that 0-0 was not considered a winner. oddsmaker claims that "scoring tie" was listed on the wager type, but has not yet provided evidence to substantiate. The player adamantly denies seeing any such notation. 7/12/2010 02:40 PM

SportsInteraction cancels tennis wager on stale line after match conclusion
SportsInteraction (SBR rating B-)
canceled a player's wager on the Wimbledon doubles match Mahut/Clement vs Fleming/Skupski. The winning wager, which he staked €110 on, was voided after the completion of the match. SportsInteraction's position is that there was a clear odds error. At the time of the player's wager, 5Dimes (SBR rating A+) had odds of 1.64 (or -156) on the match. The player's ticket was for 1.83 (or -120).

However, the odds on the match opened at approximately -120, which is what the player wagered. The day before the doubles match, Nicolas Mahut played a marathon match with John Isner which ended up being decided 70-68 in the 5th set. oddsmakers felt Nicolas' physical endurance after the record-breaking match would be a questionmark that should effect the price of the doubles match, so the market was updated. SportsInteraction failed to react to this odds change.

This is commonly referred to as a 'stale line'. A stale line is a result of a linesmaker failing to update the odds of a particular event, as opposed to a 'bad line' which is a clear and obvious clerical error, such as a reversed pointspread or moneyline. In this case, SportsInteraction cited a bad line rule and voided the winning wager after the match ended. SportsInteraction has canceled bets after the events began before, as was done in this December 06 sportsbook dispute. As the odds the player accepted were in-line with the market at one point, SBR has suggested that SportsInteraction pay all wagers on the stale line. SBR will update this report pending SportsInteraction's decision. 6/5/2010 01:06 PM

oddsmaker comments on six month old slow-pay
oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) has commented on the six month old slow-pay reported by SBR on May 7th. oddsmaker reinforced their initial position from SBR's December 29th report that the player supplied erroneous banking details; stating that the correction was applied on 12/31/09 but that the bank wire originally sent was not returned to oddsmaker's bank account. SBR is inquiring further.

oddsmaker: We dont ask for bank information from our customer's at the time they open an account with us. Withdrawals are personally processed by our customers by going to their cashier account and entering the withdrawal amount, routing number and account number to where the withdrawal money will be sent. What happened is (the player) requested a withdrawal for $1000 on 11/01/09 however he entered the incorrect ACH info. The withdrawal has been processed by our cashier department and has been sent to the account and routing number that he entered. It was only on 12/30/09 that (the player) was able to provide his correct ACH information which is matching with the previous payments that he requested. As of now we are still trying to get the money back for us to work on with (the player's) request however we still have not received any response for the money back request that we sent.
