I'm a big breakfast type person. Today I decided to cook my own, which isn't unusual. Tossed between making French Toast or a Velveeta cheese omelet with fried whole white potatoes from a can. Naturally bacon was mandatory, as was toast made from Sheepherders bread. Top it off with one side of the toast with Orange marmalade, and the other with grape jelly. A cup of home made Starbucks coffee washed it all down.

Best thing though was the compliment from the SO, who's an excellent cook. "Best damn potatoes I ever ate. Done perfectly!" That in itself made it all worthwhile.

It's nice to have a big breakfast on the weekends!

Week days too, if you can. :)

Favorite Breakfast for me is, 3 Scrabble eggs, Bacon and Steak Fries, 3 slices of Whole wheat Toast.
and Don't forget the Ketchup ! :toast:

The best breakfast I have ever eaten was at The Egg and I in Las Vegas.

I ate the standard, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, and hash browns. On the menu it is called "Eggs - Plus". I added the sausage à la carte. As I was eating, the taste of the meal brought a smile to my face.

· The eggs were very good. Not greasy or salty. Very tasty.

· The bacon was the best I ever had. Not too salty, not soggy, and not overcooked.

· The turkey sausage was the best I ever had. Not greasy or salty. Tasty.

· The hash browns were the best I have ever had. These were the square pieces of potato type of hash browns. Usually this type of hash browns is greasy, heavy, and dense. These were light, airy, and had some type of paprika seasoning.

· The toast was the best I ever had. Light and fluffy whole wheat bread. Not dense.

· The oj was great as well.

It is located about 10-15 minutes from South Las Vegas Boulevard. Well worth the trip!

The website is for Egg and I and Egg Works. Egg Works has a a different menu and I believe the food is a little different, but not sure. I got the "EGGS-PLUS" at Egg and I.

Damn, that sounds good. I grew up spoiled about breakfast. When I was a kid I'd get up every school morning and my mother would have a full breakfast ready for the whole family. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, the whole shebang. And I took it entirely for granted. Reality hit me in the face in about my second week of college, when I was having store-brand Cheerios for the eighth or ninth day in a row.

Now when my wife fixes a good breakfast for me, I make sure to tell her how much I appreciate it and how good it was. I'll even brag about to my friends if she's in earshot. A little flattery goes a long way toward making sure I get another ham steak and two eggs fried over-hard again soon.

If I'm good enough to go to heaven, there will be biscuts and gravy every day there.

On a side note: It's hard for a grown man to use the term "girlfriend," Wildcat Coach. Sounds too much like a teenager.

I don't know other than to save some letters typing. She's my girlfriend of 17 years. And boy can she cook!

17 years and only a girlfriend? She should've kicked your ass to the curb years ago.
