Been listening to him for awhile and saw him live in Vancouver a little while back.
Don't worry this isn't that Lil Wayne garbage....this is good stuff with meaningful lyrics. Genius if you ask me...oh and he's Canadian..

Also here is someone else that's pretty cool...hopefully you've heard of him....deep shit.

Of course Big L, Nas, Biggie, Pac and Andre 3000 are great too....but this is different.

I was watching Drake's interview with Katie Couric yesterday, and he mentioned Shad. Vinnie Paz has been putting it down for a long time under the umbrella of Jedi Mind Tricks.

I know this thread is for more underdog hip hop, but it has been a long time since I've appreciated a mainstream artist like I do with B.o.B. The guy just puts out incredible songs. Here is his latest. It's great IMO.

mixture of things i guess - his rhymes are pretty weak, he doesn't play with syllables well, and his vocabulary comes off as really unrefined.

I did enjoy most of the Shad tracks you posted though.
