Not sure what happened and How I got it.

At first I thought it was part of AVG, but it tries to tell you it's from Microsoft
It takes over your Computer and runs a Scan. Then of course it tells you that you need a Full Version.
At that point I figured that this was no good and tried to back out or just click it off and get online.
Well it won't let you !

Went to Uninstall programs, and it couldn't be find. So I deleted the Icon on my desktop and went into other programs...Still Not there.
Figured I could uninstall it from there.

Only way Out is to do a Systems Restore. Now it's Gone !

Was just going to MSN, and just before I clicked on that... a window popped up and said, You need to scan your computer.
I have AVG, and the icon was like like it...so I thought Ok, maybe I need it.
But had 2nd thoughts, so I hit Safe Mode on this Box.
and it juust started Scanning....:ohno:

That was the end..... it wouldn't let me back out of it.

Then it had to be on there for a while, because it wasn't anything resent.

But the good thing is that I got rid of it by Restoring to a 30 day point.

I avoid unecessary scaans, just slows things way down.
I just have one scheduled at 3am daily.

Think Point is a rogue anti-spyware application which was created to lie to computer user about the security status of his machine. In reality, this scam is not capable to detect any computer trouble because it is a masked virus which will use security or other exploits to reach the targeted Operating System. As soon as Trojan infiltrates computer through misleading alert of fake Microsoft Security Essentials, it will start appearing on the desktop and then will continuously interrupt into a normal your PCs functionality. This alert presents Think Point as a “world’s leading security solution” which after checking PC for malware has detected some viruses, like Unknown Win32/Trojan. Additionally, rogue starts claiming that some of the viruses detected can’t be restored because of the heuristic module which is missing. However, Think Point offers to install these required modules but then asks paying ninety or more dollars.
