If Lebron had been drafted by any other team and left the way he did , would it be this bad ?

The city of Cleveland is coming off like a city of losers and whiners.

Get over it..

I doubt any other city would be acting like this had everything gone down the exact same way.

Thoughts ?

I think if LeBron had grown up in a different city, was drafted by his hometown team, and promised he wouldn't leave without a championship... I think the result would have been the same regardless of the city.

I really can't think of another city in the history of sports that got burned as badly as Cleveland did with Art Modell and his stadium referendum plans. I am not so sure there's another city out there that could be as bitter as these fellow Ohioans.

It depends really, would the team be also left with a crap roster?

Only other areas I could think of that would really give him hell would be new york and oklahoma city.

Places like LA and Miami are too fair-weather to really have pitchfork rallys

Also adding Portland, they are pretty bitter fans nowadays with the injury crisis.

He'll be fine. I can already see it now, rows of security guards right before the court

Cleveland fans have been waiting 5 months to let LeBron know how they feel. I hope they are loud and that TNT doesn't try to turn the noise down. Lebron could have left the Cavs and still been loved by many if he had done it in a classy way, but he insulted Cleveland as well as a few other cities by putting on his farce of a show. I would never want to see the guy assaulted or injured by an angry fan, but I sure hope they jeer the hell out of him. If Cleveland can put up a good game it will be that much sweeter.

I grew up in Cleveland. I remember people hated me in school when I said, once I go to college I am not coming back to this hell hole.

Cleveland is Gary, IN, only 5 hours east on I-90. Absolute useless dump.

The only good thing in NE Ohio are the people. Good, genuine, midwesterns, but what a useless city. Bad weather, high crime and even higher unemploment, with a chance of snow from until April.

This city is Memphis north and please call it by its proper name Chernybol.

I agree completely, Joan of Ark did less whining at the stake. He went where he thought he could win-and took less money in doing it-and the city and that idiot owner were willing to tongue his balls up until the second that left, then they bring up all his shortcomings when they get kicked to the curb. No winning, mistake-by-the-Lake muthafuckas, get over it.
