have had a great read on the steelers for as long as ive been gambling. only lost 1 game i bet on them all season and have been right on the great majority of my leans, despite being average at best handicapping the nfl. anyways, i bring this up because it seems that a lot of people are either too pessimistic about their teams or way too biased to be objective.

One instance was back during the 8 years Nolan Ryan was with the California Angels in the 70s. Occasionally the Angels would have day games that started around 4PM Pacific. On those twilight start time games with Ryan on the mound ball visibility was low and his fastball became virtually unhitable.
For a long time there were quality lefthanders in the AL that really struggled against a heavily laden with right handed hitters Red Sox line up at Fenway Park. I used to bet against visiting lefties at Fenway often or bet over the total runs that were around in the 70s at some point.

I used to be money betting on or against Buffalo but these last two years I have stopped capping them on a game to game basis and I have pretty much stopped betting the NFL until the playoffs. I have played and won a crap load the last few years on total Buffalo season win/losses and have under 5.5 this season for 5k.
