He has been relieved of his coaching duties. I have no idea if that means he is fired but he isn't going to be coaching at least.

why do gm's and owners even come out and say the guy is safe to only fire him a few days later. didnt the owner just say mcdaniels would be back next yr and they lose a close road game and hes fired lol

He just flat out didn't know how to be a head coach.

Never established a running game, calls crazy gimmick screens that do nothing, and his defenses never had any bite. Good riddance.

i also think his downfall with ownership started with the tebow pick. Ownership wasn't really fond of the decision but they gave him a chance.

the broncos were retarded in giving him so much power when he never did shit as a head coach. just bc bill can do it, doesnt mean josh can. When you come in and piss all of your big name players off immediately, its not a good trend. Cutler is not the greatest, but the bears are 9-3, Marshall is a top 5 wr in the league if he has a qb, and peyton is beasting out every week for an average browns team. Josh probably could have survived this bad season in denver, if it wasnt for all the players he traded shining.

Mangini book is still up in the air, he always seems to win once his season is basically over, until they can put a season together, think he will be at risk. Haley is solid so far and Chiefs have a young nucleus.

As a former resident of Colorado and former fan of the Broncos, this firing is the best news to hit Bronco land since the Shanahan years. McDaniels managed to take one of the most respected franchises in the NFL and turn it inside out on it's ass. Young coach, big ego, little substance, poor eye for talent. Hopefully, the owner won't repeat this folly in the future.
The owner was out of tune in hiring skills, after having Shanahan for so many years.

Broncos may try to get out of paying McDaniels by using the illegal videotaping as just cause for firing. You have to wonder if they perhaps need new ownership as well -to be paying 2 former coaches so much money is just bad management.
